I have been a nurse for almost 15 years now...I started my career at Logan General Hospital (now known as Logan Regional Medical Center). I spent almost 10 years there.
I worked at Thomas Memorial in So. Charleston for a few months and now I am currently doing private duty nursing (the best move I ever made)

Spouse(s)

I married the love of my life, Michael Minney, on May 28th 2000. He was born in 1963 and raised on a farm in Auburn, WV. He has 2 sons from his previous marriage. He is a computer operator for Pettey Oilfield Services in Hamlin, WV.

Children

After years of being told I could not carry a child and several miscarriages later at the age of 31 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Allison...imagine having to tell your daughter when she gets older that she was named after her daddy's favorite race car driver...I think I'll make him tell her...But it was the only name that we agreed on...haha
I also have 2 wonderful stepsons...Kris is 16 and Sean is 13

Life Story

Well, I was born a coal miners daughter...although it wasn't in a cabin or in Butcher holler :) I am proud of where it was...in a small hospital in Man, WV in August of 1971.
God blessed me with a wonderful family...my parents Charles and June Brumfield still reside in Man as does my sister Julie. I also have one spoiled rotten niece (of which I had nothing to do with, yeah right) Kayla Anderson.
I attended Mallory Grade School, Man Jr. High, and graduated from Man High in 1989.
I attended Ralph R. Willis Vocational School and SWVCC.
I graduated nursing school in 1991.
I have been practicing nursing ever since.
I met my Michael in Feb. 1999 online and we married in May 2000 with the consent and approval of his 2 sons. I now had my ready made family. We found a small farm, barn and all, in Alum Creek and pulled up my roots and moved from Man in 2001.
We don't have livestock, just a dog and a cat. But we did leave the old barn standing.
I found out I was pregnant in May 2002 and Allison was born premature via emergency C-section at Women's and Children's Hospital in Nov 2002. She is perfect!!!! Being a mother is the best job ever. Thank God big miracles come in tiny packages.
Today, we are just enjoying all that we have been blessed with...Life, Love & Happiness!!!!
