I went to college on a basketball scholarship to Bluefield State College. I lived in Bluefield for 5 years, finished college and returned back home to teach for two years. I then received a job offer from Montgomery County schools in Blacksburg, Va. I have been here since 1992. I love it here.

I have been a teacher for the past 17 years. I have been at Auburn High School for 15 of those 17. I am the consulting teacher for the special education department.

Children

I am the proud parent of two adopted children. Joshua and Natasha. They keep me busy.

Hobbies

I love to fish. I spend as much time as possible on the lake. I also have a little mowing business on the side.

Accomplishments, if any

I am currently pursuing my master's degree in school administration.
I feel it is an accomplishment to have two beautiful children.
